Channel 7 + not playing on Chrome based browsers.
#1
Channel 7 +, Australia will not play on Chrome, Chromium, or Brave. It plays on Firefox, using the same VPN (Nord) on all of them. It logs on, but has a static picture. SBS & Channel 9 are normal. The OS is MX-23.3

Any ideas?  Huh

This may have something to do with it, old article but may be some sort of update in the land of Kangaroos causing it.

Theres a couple of TV NZ Channels similar, wont play on certain browsers.

Cant test different browsers, don't have an account. Is it free to sign up ?

You have to sign in to 7+ before it will play. The article you referred me to is exactly the same. Google shot themselves in the foot by tampering with the DRM settings, joke is that it only effects Chrome type browsers. Seven plus is very fussy about VPN's, only a few will work with it. I t should come right in time.

Just had a Play Smile  ( windows) On Brave - It worked fine. On Edge, at 1st errored, but on reconnecting the VPN, / Reloading, sat through the ads, then played OK. (The Chase)

Brave is v1.68.137 (Aug 7, 2024)  127.0.6533.100

One thing NEVER changes -- Damn Adverts LOL

I am not sure what version Brave is on Linux, OR ( wild guess) Maybe the VPN you are using is causing a problem on some browsers --

See Pic below.

Turned out to be a wrong password in the cache. Works fine now. Brave was doing the same because I synced Chrome to Brave. I don't get any adverts using uBlock Origin. That is why uBlock is about to be banned in Chrome type browsers. Google losing revenue from adverts. They have shot themselves in the foot because everyone will use Firefox. I used Chrome because it had good extensions, but Firefox has better ones now.

The manifest V3 requirement will break many extensions in Chrome if they are not updated.  I am not seeing a whole lot of updates to support it though so possibly why Google has taken so long to introduce it...  Firefox are definitely going to get a bump in market share when they do.
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.
