Very interesting way of implying that the life of an American is somehow of a higher value than that of an 'illegal alien'...

You think it's OK to let criminals flood across the border?
It's bad enough with all the 501s deported here from Australia, clearly Aussie didn't want them and dump them all here just because they were born here and that's what we consider legal immigration!
Well that's what trump plans to do to the gangs crossing over from Mexico.

Except criminals are not flooding across the border. The reality is very different.

Well firstly, it's ridiculous to think that it is only criminals and gang members flooding across the border, the majority will be law abiding *cough* citizens looking for a better life, but statistically there will be a percentage of dysfunctional miscreants.

But I wonder if this is not just a quick and easy way of increasing the population of the US rapidly, lots of countries use immigration as a way to prop up economies, NZ is no different, we do the same because it is good for the economy and I suspect to increase the number of taxpayers to fund expected superannuation costs.

Maybe that is their plan, perhaps with their 35 Trillion debt and aging population they have an impending superannuation crunch - or they need more taxpayers to fund ongoing wars...

Those are people trying to cross the border. Often people with families. You might recall when Trump was President, how he removed some of those children from those families who'd been desperate enough to try to cross into America.
That is the action of someone utterly lacking in empathy & understanding.

So far, more than 1,400 have not been returned to their families.

The people Trump is talking to hear "illegal aliens" as - "foreigners who eat strange foods, don't follow our religion, and who are going to take our jobs". Most of them are legal immigrants!

Whats wrong with deporting illegal immigrants? I would hope that any government in New Zealand would do the same.

In Trump's case it's not so much about deportation of immigrants so much as the blunt and callous way he has, and intends to again, ascertain the status of those people and the less than humane way of doing so. He has delusions of grandeur and dictatorship.
