NZ Housing "almost a trap"
#1
Last year, this delightful govt in more of their 'slash & bash the poor' campaign, made it even more difficult to access emergency housing. This has worked so very well that a couple & their baby was using a hospital emergency waiting room to sleep in.

Is this still NZ? Dodgy

"We have people sleeping in cars & hospital emergency rooms & really unsafe places. They've been to MSD, & done the work they needed but still MSD are rejecting them."

The trouble with setting targets that careers depend on, is that standards in related areas may drop to ensure targets get met. Want fewer on the waiting list? Don't record so many applicants. Put unsurmountable barriers in place...

It works.

The older I get, the more I agree with Mark Twain:

" The desire to become a politician should be sufficient to warrant being banned from ever doing so for life."
