K2 18b is 2 & a half times  the size of earth & the planet contains molecules which can produce life. Covered in water, evidencs is growing that it may be teeming with life.

It's ridiculous to think that Earth is the only place in the Universe where life has evolved.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

what are the odds the scientists over at K2 18b have studied Earth's atmosphere and are ROFL
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

It very well may have evolved more than us but it a huge step to conquer the tyranny of distance across a galaxy let alone extra galactic travel, also max limit of the speed of light is a further barrier which may be insurmountable by anything made of atoms.

I am more inclined to the Fermi paradox, in so far as 'intelligent' life is concerned...

And having had vast experience with water in boxes, algae aint it.
