Hi everyone, have you noticed that your ad blocker for Youtube is no longer working? It makes using it a real pain. Has anyone as of 27-5-25 found a way to blocke them. I use Opera Air and Vivaldi as my go-to browsers, I tried Firefox but that was unsucessful. Can anyone please point my in the right direction?

Firefox plus uBlockOrigin addon/extension.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

In Windows 11 Microsoft Edge I have found uBlock Lite works well.
Thanks all for your replies. It will be interesting to see how long these last. I have now added Avast ,DuckDuckGo and Edge to my browser stable. Thanks again.

Firefox works great, as long as you install uBlock Origin.
Don't bother with Chromium-based browsers. Chromium is made by Google. YouTube is also run by Google. Guess why ad-blockers don't work in Chrome?

Yes, its becoming apparent that the use of adblockers is impacting google's ad revenue.
Using an adblock DNS is another option, but I find that pages load with lots of blank space as if the ads were still there.

I imagine they'd make more money off people who pay for youtube premium, than those who use adblockers.
They're not in danger of going bankrupt, they're just a typical greedy corporation. I'll take them seriously when they do something about the pr0n-bot commenters on the platform, or the ads that link to malware etc.
