Temu - minimum order
#1
Haven't bought from Temu for a long time!

Just noted that they have increased the minimum order from $20 to $35 !

Not going to buy something which I don't need!!!  Big Grin

I found Temu only useful for a handful of things, AliExpress has much better offerings especially for items like electronic components and spare parts. Temu has none of that. For clothing you get a better range of sizes on Temu though. The AliExpress stuff is all tiny Chinese sizing.

That said, I've made 2 orders from Temu and dozens from AliExpress.

The "Last one left!" and "Flash sale!" rubbish is annoying, though. I see AliExpress is now using similar tactics, just on a less obnoxious scale...

Slow? Huh. I get most of my orders in 2 weeks or often sooner. That's an improvement on when I started using it - some would take a month - and I've had stuff from eBay in the past that were even slower. Depends what shipping method the seller uses, though.

The "Choice" items are very fast to ship, but it seems a lot of other sellers have improved their speeds as well to stay competitive.

Bear in mind there can be a good variation in delivery times depending on your city, and who handles your "last mile" delivery.

Most orders from AliExpress take a week to ten days.

BUT they could be doing the same thing as Temu, went to order a cheap speaker the other day, there was no option to send and pay the postage, only to keep adding more to the cart until it reached $30, Then Free shipping.

AliExpress has a $16 for free shipping deal with their Choice programme, but it does have fast shipping, and you get everything in the same parcel which is convenient. Otherwise shipping is $5-6 for "Choice" items, unlike Temu, they will ship below the free shipping limit - but obviously you pay shipping!

I did buy a rather large item on Temu at one point, and was told it would be shipped by actual ship. And it took about 3 months.

Me neither. But I did find a Crookes radiometer on aliexpress and It remains one of the best presents I ever gave myself. Right up there with the twenty odd multisized disco balls.
