was a bit shocked after reading this article, being one that avoids subscriptions like the plague, $190 a month on subscriptions...
Quote:It’s not just streaming either. I’m a sucker for subscriptions. I also subscribe to Netflix ($21.99), Sky Sports ($39.99), Disney+ ($9.99), Amazon Prime Video ($8), Audible ($17.76), NordVPN ($6.98), SmartDNS ($8.37), HBO Max ($21.27), Hulu ($17.01), Peacock ($7.08), Apple Fitness+ ($16.99), iCloud ($4.99), Google Drive ($2.99) and Arlo ($9.99).

So let's have a poll on what subscription services everyone has...

I have netflix and neon through my spark broadband, and amazon prime on top. I could have spark sport but haven't bothered.
I find these days I am using TVNZ streaming more than the rest, though I do wish they'd build in more stability to their platform. It is very frustrating to have those bloody dots arrive at tense moments...

I'm adverse to paying anything for anything - freebee is my goto. I did pay $21 for a year of Curiosity Stream, which is a bargain as most cost that a month. Youtube, TVNZ on Demand, TV3 just for MotoGP a week late, Tubi, Beamafilm which is the free library service, supply me with more than enough to watch for just the data. I see no need to pay for any subcription.

The only sport I watch is MotoGP. Not happy this year as my computer has decided it's unsafe to go to that site anymore....I've been doing it for years. I think it has decided at my age porn sites are off limits. Shouldn't have updated my antivirus.

I subscribe to a written newsletter - David Slack on Substack. For video - if it's not free, I don't watch!
I do have other cameras!

The only one I pay for is Prime, Netflix and Disney I piggy back off my sons subscription. Dont have a VPN as yet, been looking at the one that king has in his signature but I haven't made up my mind yet.
