US President Joe Biden says it has been 'greatest honour' to serve as he ends campaign

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Well I guess we could all see that coming

If there can be age restrictions on leadership candidates at one end of life, surely there should be at the other?

After all, it's more important than holding a driving licence. Or is it?

That must have been quite hard for him, but doing the right thing was more important. I'd like to think they endorse Kamala Harris but in America who knows what might happen.
They need to choose the candidate most likelly to win & keep Trump from being President again.

Definitely agree, life experience is needed but when someone's getting to the stage where they're finding it difficult it's surely better to have an age restriction in place.

Trump is a thoroughly nasty bit of work; as shown by his comments on Biden stepping down - even he should know better than to kick someone when he's down, but apparently that's beyond his very limited understanding. Dodgy

We are never the best judges of our own abilities, and aging well is a challenge in itself without adding additional stresses. No reason why the traditional roles of the seniors - advisors, counsellors, carers, storytellers - cannot be just as influential on human affairs as any figurehead position.

Now, we just need to see Trump retire graciously. And not in favour of that turncoat Vance.

Yeeaahh, like that's ever going to happen!  Rolleyes Big Grin

He's got to be in charge, even if he does as little as possible.

Kamala Harris - is America ready for a female in charge ? I would like to hope so, but it is the USA.

America needs a woman in charge. I hope she is the right woman.

She has to win; there's really no other option.

And virtually no one could be as bad as Trump.

why a woman?
America needs a qualified person in charge, i dont care what skin colour, race or gender.
Thats why the green party has gotten into the mess they are right now because they dont select people based on skill or how qualified they are.

Why not a woman? She seems to be qualified & has experience as VP, so there should be no problem.
