He sounds like an absolute prickle. That poor kid must have a hell of a time; hard enough being trans without also having such an unhelpful & unsympathetic attitude from him.

Elon grew up in South Africa so that would explain quite a few things.

Musk is also affected by aspergers so approaches situations and issues differently to most people. I haven't read the linked article as it denies me access unless I disable AdBlock which I'm not prepared to do so I'm guessing it relates to Elon being inflexible and unaccepting of his daughter's gender status. Not surprising that he struggles with something that is outside his accepted view of normality.
