And as a parting shot in line with his public dislike for Trump Carter's death will result in 30 days of flags being flown at half mast on all federal buildings, right through the inauguration of Trump.

Sometimes, life is sweet. ![]() ![]() He was one of a kind & did some real good with his life. We're unlikely to see anyone as likely to do so again anytime soon, particularly in America.

I remember feeling so shocked when I heard that Ronald Reagan was taking over as President from Jimmy Carter.
A bad actor taking over from a genuine working type.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Reagan was bad but Trump et al will be much worse.
Government being run by ex businessmen is a recipe for social disaster as all the money destined for the poorer members of society will be going to allies and sponsors of Trump.

And very similar to what's happening here; the more I see of wealthy rightwing business people sticking their oar into politicis & becoming politicians, the more I'm inclined to think that perhaps very wealthy people should be barred from becoming politicians. And because someone is good at business, it doesn't follow that they'll also be good at politics.

The alliance of State and Business is commonly called fascism, it can be worse if the Church is involved as well.

"Nationalism - The last refuge of a scoundrel."
This is a well known saying from the past and Trump is well and truly living up to it.

I hope Biden set it up deliberately.

Well here is something Biden has done to get back at Trump:
