I use this chrome addon for removing overlays, like paywalls, signup screens etc

Thanks for that. I've just installed the Firefox version. Seems to work, just have to press Alt/Shift/X to activate it on any firewalled content.

Can you please explain what you mean by "left wing nutjobs" ?

With any sort of luck. Big Grin
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

I think over running the west is a very valid ambition.

Something to aim for - & it's unlikely to be as bad as what we have now.

Hey heh, left wing nutjobs.
Yet we don't think Hilary clinton runs a pedophile sex ring.
It's not us 'nutjobs' who think Obama and bill gates drink the plasma of African children.
Us nutjobs havent deluded ourselves into thinking the election was stolen.

Youve still got posters over there think the Maricopa recount is going to topple the government. How fucken embarrassing, he's still starting threads about it. It's hysterical watching the right wing all butthurt and crying because of mandates.

Extreme left is dangerous and so is extreme right.
right now, this country is out of balance.
The greens would be closer to the extreme left than Labour, but the two of those parties get on like a house on fire.
#13
The Greens may have to get more extreme though, if they are going to get anything done at all on the Climate Change front.
#14
I would say the Greens are very far removed from extreme left. Greenpeace, now that's a different story

And yet Greenpeace is one of the few organisations actually doing something real about protecting our oceans.

Is 'extreme' code for something else I wonder?

It seems  to still be very much an uphill battle, despite the fairly extreme events everywhere - fires, flooding etc.

i believe and understand the climate changes through human intervention.
i just dont know where to start to make a measurable difference

Like any other huge challenge, you just start. Plant a tree, start a compost heap, commit to recycling, walk more, vote Green...

huge you say? a challenge as well?
it already sounds too hard.  cant i just not do something?
what if i were to stop burying toxic shit like car batteries and used paint down the back?
the neighbours would probly be chuffed if i were to desist burning tyres back there. they do get smoky.
i wont vote so the greens are out.
hmmm recycling. the last landfill we had here is now a golf course.
nothing wrong with golf, we could probly use some more. green belt etc am i right?

damn, im already bending over backwards to ensure the health and longevity of our planet.
im going on a break..

In my heart I believe it is already too late, but I am still trying to reduce my household's impact (tree planting, composting, hybrid car etc, all the banal but benign things) because to behave otherwise would be unspeakably callous towards younger generations. And if by some miracle a world reduction in emissions was accomplished I would want to have been part of it.
