Did anyone happen to catch this last might on Maori TV? I'd forgotten it was on & missed the first few minutes but it was brilliant, if a bit harrowing in places.
I was especially pleased to see a brief clip from Miranda Harcourt's piece from her prison work which was shown on TV years ago. I thought then that it was very well done, affecting & likely to do some good along the way. And so it seems, with the man the doco is about citing it as a huge influence in helping him to get himself sorted & turn his life around.
Often the reason for boys joining gangs is having been removed from family & put into an institution. Where sadly, they were often abused.

in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
