remove .srt files from videos.
#1
I have discovered that some video files I have downloaded have a text of the words of the song appearing along the bottom of the frames. I use Wondershare Uniconverter to down load my videos and in there is the ability to turn off “file merger”. When exported to the Downloader Folder I can delete the SRT file and I get a video without text.
There are some older files that still contain the SRT file. I can try and find them again on the Internet and use the correct method of removing the SRT file, as above, but I would like a simple to use program that will remove the SRT file from my existing video file. There are a number of programs offered on the internet but to me they seem difficult to use. Does anyone have an experience in this field who can guide me on this matter?

if these are files already on your PC (srt should be) you can simply browse to the folder that contains all these videos and use the search box in the explorer window...

search for
*.srt
(filename . extension - *= wildcard)

then when all the srt files show up
Ctrl A - select all
DEL - delete the selection...

Now if your previous process was embedding the subtitles in the video, such that there is no SRT file, you will have to redo the video OR turn off subtitles
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

It also Depends on how the subtitles are added, "Some" are hard coded and can't be turned off even in the Player(s)
