An idea to deal with heavy traffic, pods suspended above streets. It could perhaps work, they have similar things in some countries.
An American firm is currently funding one in Queenstown, should be interesting to see how it goes. I wonder if they'd also work in Auckland, perhaps as an alternative to the harbour bridge.

There was a similar proposal made here in Tauranga called skycabs, but it never eventuated.
Might be more practical in Queenstown where its a busy tourist hotspot, could also have applications in getting people up to their skifields.
