Had to go to the mall this morning, & got book for youngest granddaughter's birthday later in the year, then into supermarket.
Where I was mugged by a giant pink rabbit.
It's been looking at me sideways for a week or so now, but I ignored it. Today though, it went 'Psst!' & so I looked. It jumped into the trolley (which I unaccountably had despite needing only pesto & a couple of bananas) & demanded to be taken to the baby.
What could I do - people were staring so I brought the damn thing home.
The newest great granddaughter (still on her way) will be getting a giant pink rabbit for her first xmas present...damned rabbit.

I've had some awesome news The hospital phoned and would I like to have the ablation tomorrow. Ummm yess!! They will do the echocardiograph first then straight in for the procedure. My echo appointment is for next week, the clinical appointment the following week so I'm guessing they will be cancelled lol. Am over the moon, it pays to be on the 'cancellation' list

Great news KM. Do you stay overnight? You will be itching to resume normal life once it's behind you. All the best.

Thank you, roma It's a day procedure and only takes a couple of hours with a local along with something to make me groggy. My sister-in-law will be driving us home. I can't wait to have it over and done with and get back to normal.

Ahhh fentanyl, the wonder drug for distracting our monkey minds. Best of luck km, may it let you dig many more big holes, lol.
I learnt something today, I read the maxigesic packet. Not to be taken by the over 65s... Oooops! But it was a small oooops on a day of much larger ones, it seems I have covid at last, and my experience makes me think all those sods who claim it is nothing more than a mild flu have never actually been here. I am fully vaccinated, so I can deal with it in all its nastinesses, one day at a time. But I feel very sorry for those who have to endure it without that protection. It's awful.
Roll on tomorrow!

My Rose was given a giant black bear by a wannabe boyfriend and it lurked in her room for months until she decided it was too big and too menacing in the twilight. Then years later she sent me a photo of my baby grandson on their big bed, surrounded by big black bears...
I had to laugh.

Thats awesome news Kiwimade.
They will either do it via your wrist, which is the easiest way to go. or Via the groin, which means you have to lay flat for an hour or more afterwards. I was pleased when my clot was blown apart via the wrist. Before the weightloss that wasnt possible lol.
The landlords here wont be happy. They will need to put two heat pumps in, at least.. And the [painters are coming in to work out a quote to repaint the whole place, on Friday.
Wouldn't do anything like that while we were here. lol. Ohh well I wont be washing walls before I leave then lol.
Ill just be glad to be out of here

Good morning.
It's bleak outside and the rain radar has a massive rain dump coming over. I'm not sure the school run will be a dry one!
OHH the sore throat explains the Covid diagnosis ... I remember it was my first symptom. Yes, it's not a fun virus and I saw yesterday that there are still deaths each week, shows it's still "out there". I hope you are feeling better each day.
An inside day in store, Autumn will be upon us with widespread rain. Look forward to getting started on my knitting project.
Good luck today KM.
Stay warm and dry all.

Morning everyone
It started raining late yesterday and still wet. Yay
Hope all goes well today Kiwimade.. It will make a huge difference to you.
Yep I wont be overdoing things Hunni.. Im a little annoyed that they suddenly decide to do everything Once I leave. Yes I understand it would be easier to do it in a vacant house, but just annoying at the same time.
Dianne is coming in today and we will put one coat of paint onto the tall bookcase I have, and then go up the street for lunch.. Then do a second coat. The tv is going to sit on it. We will lay it sideways and put my two white tall book cases next to it, and possibly smaller white ones as well. its something I have wanted to do for Many many years.
I like White furniture.
Have to go do my blood first.
Have a fab day all

I just wish it had an on off button, so I could switch the coughing off at night. I am not a nice person sleep deprived. But I'm glad I have a small pile of nice fat books, and a few winter projects both in my mind and the one on the needles to keep me entertained. My bff has said she is happy to bring me anything I need, covid doesn't scare her, and my closest neighbour calls me to the door every couple of days to see that I am still alive, lol. Though to be honest I am probably keeping her awake. She is the only human being apart from my lovely online figments I have spoken to for the past week, and the fact that doesn't worry me just goes to show how 'not normal' I am, hibernation definitely has its good side!
Oh, and I am down four kilos, silver linings, though that probably means my jeans will be even more inclined to slide south, and will need extra elastic to keep me decent! Still, not as if I don't have the time to get out needle and thread...
I have my fingers crossed for km, you picked a good day for it my dear - not a great gardening day out there!

Good luck, KM hope all goes well.
Sooner or later the coughing will pass Hunni, not fun though till it does.
Tipping down here; Madame le Cat was keen to go out. For approximately two minutes when she appeared on back porch & was ever so keen to come in = she even graciously allowed the human to dry her off with a paper towel.
Madame le Dog & I have to venture out later but we'll do our extra short rainy day walk so hopefully won't get too drenched.

My Tatt tells me she needs to stay on my feet. It's for my own good. Oh well, it saves filling the hot water bottle, she doesn't even react to the hacking cough any more.

Madame e Cat apparently believes it to be entirely my fault that its raining out there & has been for most of the day...& by way of compensation, believes that dinner shoud be early.
She's got Buckley's chance.

Good afternoon from a weird day weather wise in the bay - my kids always tell me I am too trusting and today I think maybe they are correct - just this once though .I made an executive decision to give up on the sun blanket - it was not the right ply wool for the pattern - the pattern was 12ply but most of the pattern was carrying 4 strands across the back - so at the halfway point it weighed a ton and I decided it would just be useless so as I had bought all the yarn before I started thought I would sell it rather than stuff it on a shelf in my craft room - so there were 45 balls unused cost $8 a ball so listed them for $100 - had heaps of replies - but the first one said she was working at the local med centre until 8.30 but would I hold it for her until she finished as she lived in the country and would love to pick it up on her way home -
she wasn’t working for the next three days - so held it for her - she arrived about 8.45 nice presentable lady - she had to pay cash she told me when I asked her to do online banking - so I gave her the wool and she handed me a plastic sandwich bag with notes in it - didn’t open it until later - it contained $5 and folded paper - of course she has blocked me - I rang a friend at the medical centre doesn’t fit the description of any of the staff so I was well and truly conned - karma will get her !
Hunni Dr Harker chest is brilliant if the cough continues- my husband was recommended it when he developed his lung disease - he called it his sticks and weeds brew - it’s a bit expensive and tastes awful

Madame le Cat had to wait Hunni, I may be slightly weird but I'm not feeding her early - I know it means she'd be always trying it on, little toad.
What a miserable person to do that Jan. What you put out comes back to you in various ways & I'd not want to be in her shoes.

Oh Jan that's plain Nasty.
But the Karma bus will hit her.
I never even thought about Covid when you said you had the sore throat Hunni. Thats how mine started. .. Hope you start to feel better soon.
Dianne came in, and Oh Im glad everyone on the shared driveway was out. There we were wearing yellow PEP jackets over our Clothes, plastic hair dyeing gloves on our hands painting the shelves. It must have looked soo funny. But we had fun. Put one coat on And then went up the road to get lunch..
Dianne still managed to get paint in her newly dyed hair.
Dianne and I are soo alike. No way we were paying $5 for a chicken thigh and $4 for a small chips. So we left Dannys bakery and went to our usual fish and chip shop.
Had lunch and did a second coat. and Yep she got her hair again lol.. add to the clothes too which we think might have happened when she took the pep jacket off. But they are done. So Ill have my tv in the center of the lounge wall and white shelves all around it. Something I've wanted for years.
The Healthy homes people were going to the new house today too.
So Now its just Winz on Monday.
Hope all went well for you today Kiwimade.
They told me I couldn't, so I did.!!

Oh Jan, how awful for you. Pity you are too nice to make a voodoo doll. what a cow - but lesson for us all!
News of the day, I had a shower and washed my hair, first time for a few days as frankly I didn't trust myself not to fall, but got it done. Felt so much better I thought I'd water some indoor jungles while the energy level was okay - bad idea. but no doubt the shelves will dry out, eventually. Me'n the foot warmer are back in bed, safer. I'll make a coffee later to reboost the sugar levels, I'm rapidly going off this covid business.
