Greta Thunberg deported from Israel
#41
Did you know Thunberg was autistic? Maybe that explains her unrelenting focus. I think some degree of being on the spectrum becomes a super power. Especially when you consider others who have risen above the population to lead, or excel, or just soar - so many are on that spectrum.

Maybe we all are, to some extent. Maybe being so is normal, and it is those who are not, who are the exceptions.

Thinking out loud again...

Lots of different places around the world have unusual natural  rock formations.

Just off the Napier Taupo highway is a formation that gets the imaginations of these folk really going - it has what looks like squared stones. It is a trap for those who loudly proclaim that nature does not create squares... until someone points out the stems of salvias...

If anyone came here before the canoes, it was from the South, from the continent now known as Antarctica. At one point, eons ago it was a wide forested mountainous land supporting a wide ecology, and then the magnetic poles changed, ice ages came and went, civilisations rose and fell. We have forgotten far more than we remember, and the Earth has swallowed the evidence that might leads us down ancient pathways.

If any more recent travelers reached us, it was probably the Chinese. They had some incredible sailors and the ships that could have done it. And they have the written history, including maps that suggest they just might have done it. But, until they plant a flag here we call our Maori, tangata whenua indigenous, first peoples, and frankly those suggesting otherwise have an agenda best not examined too carefully.

Well, maybe not. That old saying - those who lie down with dogs get up with fleas , comes to mind.

I did ser a great meme on farcebook though. Lots of images of ancient constructions often put down to alien interventions - with the phrase 'nothing upsets old white guys as much as knowing they didn't build these things'... Sometimes racism is the common thread.
