You can never have enough...
I am feeling very virtuous lol. One garden weeded and four roses pruned. The ground is warming up, not as cold on the fingers as it was last time I weeded.
Life is a one time offer, use it well

Lucky for you Mica - maybe buy a lotto ticket!

Sunny first thing here but gone all grey & overcast now & getting colder. Not working outside today but dealt a few blows to that dastardly ivy yesterday.

Woo hoo! That is great Mica!

I am baking. Quick bread cooling on the stove top, to go with tonight's leftover pork sausie and veg stirfry. It smells so good. I put grated pumpkin in with the herbs this time and a shake of two of the Moroccan spice mix. Should taste really good, and keep me carbed up till the grocery delivery tomorrow, plus a few slices in the freezer. Could be a lean fortnight, I shall clear that vet bill this evening and be back to debt free.

Good for the soul that is!  Big Grin

Crisp start no clouds so going to be sunny but cool day.

Even happier  camper on reading my vacuumninvoice they gave me the spare filter I want for free too  so $760 discount.

Lunch over in Eastbourne  today so looking forward to good company,  food and lovely Wellington Harbour views.

Looked after DGS and DGD2 yesterday afternoon for couple hours while dad played squash.

Slow start this morning got load in the washer  about to have my breakfast.

Enjoy your day

Good morning.

Lovely sunshine after a cool start.

Groceries done early ... to beat/join the Goldcard masses and all put away.  Coffee and crackers/cheese in hand.

Good result Mica. It pays to go direct more often than not. We watched a science doco on vacuum cleaners recently and it featured Dyson also interviewed James Dyson a humble man. I can't remember how many billions he is supposedly worth when I googled  Big Grin

It's looking like a day to get outside with no wind ... rain forecast for the weekend though.

I've ordered a knitting pattern and wool kit plus some embroidery tracing paper so I have hand work to look forward to  Smile

Cuppa finished,  better move.

Enjoy the day all.

Morning everyone

We have grey clouds and sunny and blue sky.. Its chilly-ish.

Wow awesome savings Mica.

I sat up far to late or early this morning, so Im running behind, just having breakfast.

Im enjoying my pudding, but cant wait to be back on hot creamed rice and peaches.

I have the laminator out, so will make a new sign for the front door, then laminate that and Mums photos from the fridge. And wipe another thing off the whiteboard.

I have finished one Ostrich, cheeky looking mare she is lol..

I went from holding a magnifying glass in my left hand, to twice yesterday nursing a 3.7 kilo cat in my left arm. Thankfully Sitting / leaning on me. She just needed her Mama yesterday. Thankfully last night she settled on my legs. Under the tray I use which has legs on it. So she is about knee height, or a bit higher.. To think gone are the days when I didn't have a lap, but a large spare tyre. And hopefully soon it will be even better.

I said to Dianne yesterday I reckon we will end up with a cross over of our surgeries and non driving time which will be hard. David isn't welcome at their place so I wouldn't be able to get him to take me out there. Maybe Gayle could tho.

Shes off for scans today for the kidney stones, hope they can do those quickly for her. She managed to vacuum and wash the floors yesterday, so she is improving.. Rox her dog is molting badly so I imagine she got heaps of hair.

Have a fab day all

Feeling extremely pleased at present; was after a particular book & although TM had it, it was rather overpriced imo. So went over to World oF Books & found a secondhand copy in good nick - & even with the UK prices & shipping, still cheaper at $21. It pays to check around.
Yesss!

Morning everyone

Tad chilly this morning.

Had to be up early to deal with idiots who said they had stopped a direct debit as I've changed my way of paying, yet they haven't.. meaning my savings for the warrant has gone.. Especially since they told me a fortnight ago that they had Definitely cancelled the direct debit.. The sad part.. its St Johns.... Grrrr.

Will also be contacting Hardly Normal, my lappy hasn't arrived yet. So Ill chase that up.

Then Im off to bingo.. Need a sister hug while there and some laughs. We also have fun there.

Results are in from my x-rays.. More degeneration. And proof that my Bermuda triangle is exactly that. I have a sway spine, and the best fix to ease that is losing weight.. Check done that lol... and the worst lack of cartilage is the lowest lumbar vertebrae that is grinding on the lowest vertebrae in the Pelvis.. My way of sleeping and stretching the spine is pretty much all you can do, other than anti inflamms, pain meds or surgery.. and there is no way Im letting anyone go anywhere near my spine.

So Im pleased the Dr has finally seen it, I always thought he doubted what I was saying about it, rather than looking back 15 plus years.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning.

Overcast and quite cold this morning.

I agree Popeye spinal surgery a last resort. Mr R lucky only reduced leg use due to severed nerve ... friend of my sister now lives with permanent colostomy bag and catheter.

My parcel has already arrived  ... can get knitting or embroidering ... I have been given another denim jacket to enhance for GD. Perfect timing with rain on the horizon.

Enjoy the day all.

Lol, synchronicity strikes again. I was standing at the sink last night, rinsing a glass and as I turned to put it in the rack I stuffed my lower back in exactly the same way I did it decades ago. The tiniest little twist at just the right time and pop... There goes another vertebrae. Ouchies. And yes, it is degeneration, and no I won't have the fusion surgery thanks for the offer, but oh it is so frustrating. But I have had such a good run with those bones, I was almost convinced they had fused all by themselves, as my surgeon had predicted.

But no, there's still life in the beastly things after all. So, 24 hours to get past the nasty pain bit then I will restart the yoga exercises that centre the inflammation and reduce the stress on the surrounding tissues. The beauty of living alone, except for the Tatt, is at least no one will be offended by my swearing when I have to move, and she didn't seem to mind the blue air when I had to put her breakfast plate on her floor tray!

It would have to be a Wednesday though, buggeration!

Oh Hunnie I so understand.. And what is annoying is when its a move you do all the time but sometimes, it just blows you out of the water. I feed Madam on the coffee table if my back is having a narly day.

One of my pet hates is sneezing, that really hurts. But higher up the spine it sends shocks to the outer edges.

My twin brother and my brother in law both had their spines fused and both no better off. One of MrP's nieces has had 3 surgeries on her spine and its now had its final, so she will just have to put up with the degeneration.

It said in the message I got last night to see the dr if its still in pain, Im like its hurts all the time. Theres nothing more they can do.. Hotties, deep heat and pain meds its all I can do.

MrP used to have healing hands which always helped.

Woohoo I was a big winner at bingo this morning. Won 8 separate lines and 2 bingo's.. So the chocolate store is now well supplied again.

Had a healing hug from Erin and plenty of laughs so Im much happier than I was this morning.. And only brought a few grapefruit home.. I will take some to the oppie once Ive asked if I can. I know others supply them too.

The sun is out.. Madam has migrated from the lounge chair with a hottie , to the sun coming in the bedroom window which she cannot get to while Im out.

My new Lappy could be here tomorrow or Friday.. Yay.

You know the best treatment I ever had? Traction. My physio taught my daughter to do it and it was better than any other offering. Maybe if I set up a pulley system, lol...

I understand how that would work.

I stretch in two ways.. On my side in the fetal position, pushing into ya Butt, to stretch the vertebrae apart.  Or when sitting on a chair rolling forward with your head and shoulders as far as you can lean forward without  lifting ya Butt.

Id be sitting on MrPs bed at the rest homes basically watching the floor and the carers and nurses knew I was more sore that day.

I often raise up onto tippy toes when standing at the bench etc too. To keep things moving.

I've been working on bringing my toes back to pointing up to the ceiling rather than forward and its slowly becoming a habit. Helps stretch the calf muscles.

Told my mother years ago I would have asked for my Money back cos the gaurantee was useless.. I dont see why we are built with bits we dont need, and bits that end up causing pain. lol
