You can never have enough...
And then - the sun came out at last! Washing dry so had another bash at the ivy & made a bit more progress on it.

Haven't read the salt path & probably won't now. Finished Vulture capitalism the other day, a hard read given what awful things our species can inflict on each other. So am now re reading (after several yeasr) Prodigal Summer, Barbara Kingsolver & enjoying as much as I did the first time.

We have had a dull day all day.

So I got busy and finished this.. I have wanted to do this picture since I started diamond painting over 7 years ago. And here it is. Couldn't afford it back then, prices are much cheaper now.. And I have always loved it.

Will do flowers next, but not until tomorrow as I have to do my games tonight

Morning everyone

Its deathly quiet here cos of the fog. I didn't even hear the kids get taken to school this morning.. Odd how that works lol. I normally hear the car doors... Which is odd for this getting older chick, we live 500 meters from the closest school.

Thanks Mica, I have always loved that picture. It used to come in pinks and purples too but I like the original grey. Ive decided Im going to hang it in the lounge. Theres a couple of strips of timber covering wiring that are white when the rest is the Tea colour. And one is a narrowish strip by the door.

I will chose a new picture today, I have quite a few to pick from.. I saw a ladys stash on FB yesterday she has 120... I hope shes young enough to finish them all lol

Does anyone know why we cant see Coronation street? neither Emmerdale of Coro were on yesterday.

Need to phone Skinny and find out why I can barely get online at night time, when it works fine in the morning. Took ages to get that picture sorted. and 3 hours to get onto a patchy fb.

Have a fab day everyone

Modems certainly have changed in the last few years. I tried a couple when I changed to Mercury, this one is the third and the only one that was easy to connect and didn't require yet another 'blardyapp' as I call them. I can't be doing with those, my lack of intuitive leaping cannot handle them. Especially the ones with no patience that lock me out after the third failed attempt at whatever. Horrible things, not designed for grumpy old ladies.

Still, this one has gone without a hitch so all good.

Cool but bright in here today, the windows are all wet thanks to my cooking endeavours last night. I had a yen for colcannon and put a lot of steam into the air, and most of it is now trickling down the windows on the north side. But the doors are open so once the air swaps over it will melt away. Or I could get out the Karcher...

I did see something on Emmerdale being off yesterday, I think it was a catch up with the UK cycle. Now we are more closely aligned their holidays can interrupt the flow so to speak.

Good morning.

Overcast and cool ... so damp underfoot and in the air.

GK's back to school ... fairly subdued on the walk there,  lol.

Cheeky, fun piece to have on your wall Popeye.

I hope you are getting better OHH. Any cough I end up with always last many weeks ... very wearying.  Bright colours especially on a dull day should help your outlook at least  Smile

No plan today apart from after school pick up and minding.

Time for coffee.

Stay warm and dry.

That's very cute Popeye.
It seems to be a series, based on the film The Tattoist of Auschwitz (sp) not sure if I've seen the movie or not, which I think was based on a book.

Hope you're on the mend Hunni.
Monday again - at least the sun's out.

Yeah Lilith it was 2 parts last night. Hoping there is more to come. I must look up the books at the library.

Glad to hear your physically sort of present Hunni.. Dont over do things tho.

So After phoning skinny 4 times cos it kept dropping out they reckon I wouldnt have the problem if I got a bigger phone plan and went off that.. Which is typical marketing. So while the net is ok at the mo Ill look at spark and 2 degrees, cos my phone works on Sparks service so Im guessing it works on the 2 degrees too ..

Otherwise Ill be sticking with Skinny and crossing my fingers.

I love my 2 degrees phone. $8 a month and I never run out of anything.

But then I rarely use the damned thing, lol. Their broadband plan looks good though. Cheap too, mine is $91 a month unlimited. Till December when I will reevaluate. Mind you I got 6 months free, so really, that's not a bad deal. I shall see what I can con out of them at the end of the year...

The Tattooist of Auschwitz book was written by NZ author Heather Morris she has written other books that I have enjoyed. WW2  themes and based on true stories

DH has an appointment for his hearing aids on Wednesday morning early so I will drive him in don't want him on a crowded commuter train with all the bugs that are prevalent at the moment.

my jersey swatches are dry and it looks like 3mm needles are the ones - this could be a long time creation says she who wants it finished like yesterday.

Got DGS and DGD2 coming at 4pm while their dad  has a game of squash. made some chocolate mousse  DGD2 loves choc mousse
so time for a nana spoil Big Grin

Wet in Auckland. Again. Scoot gets collected today to have its foot fixed, so that will be a relief. I dislike not having that Get Out of Jail Fast option parked, ready to go. Not that I would, in the wet...

I did enjoy sleeping in fresh sheets, in a vacuumed and tidyish flat last night though. I feel almost human this morning!

Morning everyone

Dark enough for lights this morning, Slightly chilly.

Yesterday being major game day I didn't get to look at deals re the phone and internet.. So that's todays job. As fast as possible.

I started another picture last night for my friends birthday on the 23rd, yep this month. Did quite a lot last night listening to murder stories on Bravo. She loves sunflowers, I dont remember when I got it but I must have had her in mind.

David text last night and asked if I would like his Sega stamps from New world. I wasn't planning on getting anything but was saving the ones I got for someone else who may need them.. so now I will have a look and see if there is anything I might use. He gets heaps, cos of the dog food and wine costs lol I certainly wouldn't buy anything Just to get the stickers.

Right better get thing done so I can get back to the picture.. Its only 30 by 40 cms so shouldnt take too long and I have 8 days now lol.

Have a wonderful day.

No idea of the tech behind them popeye, I just know they are cheap, and easy to manage for this non tecky old lady!

But thinking about it, my number was an original 027 from a decade ago, that I transferred without issue, so yes, they probably do!

It looks like I can use my phone on their network.

So do you only pay $8 a month and thats for your phone and hotspotting the internet?

Do you leave your internet on all the time?

I only know one other person on 2 degrees and she pays $80 a month.

I use my home wifi more often than not, but during January when I lost that I used the phone data and managed surprisingly well. I think it is their cheapest monthly option, with carryover data which mounts up in my case rather too well. Unlimited phone and texts, covers Oz, and the data allowance fits my occasional needs. It is perfect for this smartfone phobe, lol...

afternoon ladies Smile Boy there was lots of rain in Hamilton this morning. The sun is trying to show itself but still wet underfoot.

Had a call from the people who will be showering MrK and they will hopefully start this week. And his INR is slowly, slowly increasing. I don't ever remember it taking this long before.

Yesterday I weeded a garden, only have to bin the piles of weeds and that fenceline is 'done'. The winter daphne plant is in full flower. Am so glad we decided on a winter flowering one. And my miniature bluebell is flowering, couldn't believe it lol.

Dishes to do and washing to sort this afternoon.
