Bloody cats, and dogs, lol they are so tied into our hearts.
But we love them for it Hunnie
Mine tells me when its time I went to the toilet .. and she's not usually wrong either. lol.
I bubble wrapped the window I couldn't believe the amount of wind coming in, cos I thought I had pushed it far enough down across the bottom but it blew it out. It doesn't look pretty but I can still get daylight through it which is important.
It was 10 degrees in there before I started and a couple of hours later it had gone up to 10.. thats without any bright sunlight getting in.
Put my flowers in the vase and Hate it ... Ill be pulling them out and will probably leave it empty. I would have to move the vase so Madam couldnt reach it to be able to put toi toi into it.
Washing out, dishes done, peaches chopped and in the freezer.
Had the front door open for a couple of hours.
Time to go wash the crockpot and put breakfast on. And do some veges to go with the chop I didn't eat yesterday.
Im also going to move my sewing machines on the table in the sewing room, and when I bring my shopping home I can come in and open the window that opens into the carport, and put my groceries in through the window rather than having to walk up the hill with the groceries. Thus saving my back and better if its raining. And one of the pantries is in that room so it will make things way easier.
They told me I couldn't, so I did.!!

Bah humbug, I drew the curtain back and there isn't any stopper so half of it is hanging dammit. Ill climb up tomorrow if I can and hang it back up.
The window doesn't have a keep it open so far mechanism on it which is good for me, will make things SOOO much easier.
Madam keeps taking out to the toilet to show me the window lol.. so I picked her up and showed her properly and she seems happy now. Nosey madam she is.
Have done everything I put on my list this morning.
I dont like my flowers tho, they look like a cake sitting on a vase. The stems are not long enough, sooo thankfully I got heaps Ill take the stems off the spares, tape them together and see if that will help.
They told me I couldn't, so I did.!!

morning ladies Another frost, another fine day
This morning is MrK's last day of personal care. I'll phone the district nurse to see if the extension has been given the go ahead when they open. Also have to phone the vet for more of the Furry One's meds, that will be $90 thank you. Just as well we love the little blighter.
The Furry One has been looking for his farm mate, I wish we could help him understand his mate won't be coming back.
OHH, I hope Tatty Cat is feeling better today and if not, you figure out a comfy way to get her into the cage. I agree with your comment about how hungry the little birds are over winter. Even the resident hawk is circling lower for food. I saw a pair of them with a rabbit bailed up against a hedge the other day. They flew off as I drove by. Wasn't sure to be sad for the hawks missing out on a meal or happy the rabbit the survived. Think I'm on the hawks' side on this one knowing what damage those Furry Fiends do to the garden and property.
Our silverbeet has been completely stripped by the sparrows which means a trip to the garden center (what a shame that is lol). I know it's early for some veg but no harm in looking, is there
Coffee is finished, might put the silverside on in the slow cooker for dinner.
Life is a one time offer, use it well

Morning all
Cold windy and passing showers looking at high of 10 but wind chill factor will make it seem lower than that.
Two parcels on doorstep this morning. One should be signed for never mind. Got hand rotary beater as I was over getting the Kenwood out to beat some cream the other a long line red Verge merino cardi my clicky finger couldn't resist last week been reduced to a price I was willing to pay.
Been to gym, few errands to run this morning need cat and dog food and another feliway diffuser. Will sew up dress toille for DD this afternoon.
Enjoy your day
It's fun to have fun but you have to know how

Morning everyone
It was white out the back for sure... its 7.5 in the bathroom, it would have been colder without the window blocked
The food lines are decreasing here cos Houses are taking over the vege gardens. And I noticed on Saturday that while I understand that crops have to be rotated, there are cabbages and caulis in paddocks I've never seen them in before. the houses on Waiuku side of Pukekohe are shrinking as the town stretches out. There's a massive rest home / retirement village being built and surrounded by other new houses too.
Its not good for Humans or animals if we cant grow our food.
It will be hard trying to get the furry one to understand. Im sure he will eventually. I know Missy knows Daddy isnt coming back. And she seems to know when I say who is visiting. She also knows who to stay out of the way of lol.
Thinking before I might take a heap of chicken out of the freezer and pop it in the crockpot tomorrow. Make a yummy gravy then I can refreeze it, so its not lost to freezer burn. Today tho will be fish and chips I think.. I have more gurnard than the others.
Its lawn day today but it really doesn't need cutting. He's usually here by 8-30 so perhaps he had a look and decided to leave it.
Will try and get the curtain back in place today.
Have a fab day all

It is beautiful out there, and the Tatt continues to mend, so I may just hold off on the vet until later and pick up more of the meds they have her on. With her now eating happliy I can dose her and it might be helping, because though she isn't exactly moving freely she also isn't screeching or hissing in pain... Conundrums. It would be easier if they had been able to tell me what was wrong, other than vague maybes.
But life goes on, so today I will finish up with a few touch ups on the felt hat, and once those are dry get on with deciding the pretty bits. I also want to tackle so stray grasses that have popped up under the roses and start the spring tidy up on my little deck. There's optimism for you!

Glad she is mending Hunnie. The temps wont be helping her either.

Think Ill get up and do some stuff and get to the games later.

Pleased that your Tatti cat is better Hunni.
Madame le Cat came indoors - apparently far too cold - & commandeered Madame le Dog's chair because it has a patch of sun on it. I didn't see it happen so not sure whether or not Madame le Dog was actually on her chair at the time but suspect not.

So, I have been waiting on the Tatt, hand and paw, making sure she was warm, fed, medicated, talked to, and safe. And she has been getting better. And it was a beautiful day, so I opened the doors to the deck and moved her chair into part sun, so she could toast her joints. Still making a small fuss if she had to use that leg, but improving...
And I am sitting opposite, reading my book, when she gets up, jumps down from the chair and ambles out onto the deck, then down two flights of wooden steps and off under the neighbouring deck, without so much as a wave goodbye. And now I worry.
I am going off cats.

I went and fetched her in. She was beached between the two heat pump base units, unable to move. Now she's sound asleep on her chair with a full tummy. Yup. That'll learn 'er...

Oh the Little Madam / Tart. but at least she is improving.
Mine has been "helping" me cut curtains, rehang the one in the sewing room then she thought she might like to sneak behind the freezer, sadly for her I moved faster. she would have been stuck. So a quick couple of things moved and she wont be able to try again.
Kneeling on a table wasnt much fun, but I was fast and been checking for bruising... None so far.
Ill sew the hems on the curtains. They are only a temporary measure and I will be using nails so I can simply take them down in the mornings. I like daylight too.
I looked online last night at how many second hand shops there are in Thames.. there is 12 yep 12.. so Gayle and I will go down through the week rather than on market day. Mainly cos I very seldom buy things at markets since I can make stuff myself.
Looking forward to that. It shocked me cos its not that Massive an area. but we need to go on the day they are all open.
