A question for those of you who are paid users.
Do you still have the problem with the subtitles randomly coming on.
Or is that just done to annoy us nonpayers.

Can't say I've ever had the subtitles turn themselves on. Although maybe on some videos they are turned on by default if the original audio is not English, or is low quality for some reason and subtitles would be useful. Those are the only times I've noticed them being on already. Which I think makes sense.

I don't know if the uploader has an option to turn these on by default or not, I assume they do? But I don't know.
I use uBlock and stuff and YouTube behaves pretty well for me in general.

I use guest status on youtube constantly, also have ad blockers, and it hasn't happened that I can remember. But most reels have a small CC icon at the bottom, clicking it enables Closed Captions to be turned off or on.

I'm just running the vanilla version on a smart tv.
Don't have any blockers.

I have not had any problems with it and it is used a lot in this household.
Whilst I am retired and certainly not rich I am quite willing to pay for anything I use.
I did not work for free and I don't expect any one else to either.
