Do you think there's a (tiny, naturally,) chance that we may be getting a bit carried away in our old age?
Nah! It was so cheap! And it will go so well with my black combat boots.
Totally age inappropriate, love it!

I like the sound of that outfit Hunnie.
I wish I was more... Creative like that.
Di and I were looking at wigs online. I wish I had the guts to wear one of those too. Not only do they come attached to baseball caps, but they come attached to beanies too. So I might be tempted for next winter.
Choosing a colour will be the hardest part. Im not brown or blonde and the grey makes the no-descript look washed out. But I do think towards the blonde rather than darker models.
They told me I couldn't, so I did.!!

morning ladies It looks like our lawn was mowed just in time yesterday, more rain today.
I've had my daily morning phone call with MrK - it's getting earlier and earlier lol and have a list for a few things he wants. Yesterday's haircut was a success and omg what a difference a new hairdresser makes. A new style (no more #2!) that looks very 'swish' as our daughter says. The nurses and aids made a huge fuss lol and he loved the attention. And the hairdresser is happy for me to pass on her details to the rest home and to come and do the resident's hair. It has to be approved by management but there shouldn't be an issue. So glad it was a win-win for everyone involved. And glad I could do something practical to help out.
MrK's breakfast is porridge, cream and brown sugar. One of his favourites lol. Yep, real cream. And the butter is buttered thickly onto scones at tea breaks. Yesterday he had a ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and cheese sandwich for lunch. He's going to come home fatter lol.
My sister-in-law and I went to the book fair, and I came home with four books costing $10. Not too shabby and very restrained of me. After visiting MrK and having a late lunch we went to the garden center where she found some plants she had been looking for. I scored two Asiatic lilies for $3 each as they are becoming root bound. They are small lilies and will grow in pots perfectly. It was also a chance to catch up with a friend who works there and tell her about MrK.
The Furry One is demanding his garden rounds time. Nothing changes with him Housework after that and then back up to see MrK.
Have a good one

Creative popeye? I just decided to dress to please myself rather than other people's expectations, and it is fun. Sometimes it is also slightly ridiculous, but that's okay too. Laughter is good medicine.
I have a little desk calendar that I bought back in January because it has the most beautiful butterflies on each page, little painted images botanical style with details in black script for each. I was a bit slow pulling out the page for September and found the October image is probably the most beautiful so far. When the month finishes I cut out the picture and use it in my journal, or add it to the piece of Sanderson wallpaper I have hanging on the kitchen door. That paper is a collection of frames with leaves and birds and insects so adding a few more just makes it even more interesting to look at. I have always loved butterflies, like hummingbirds they seem designed to delight...

Morning everyone.
Grey out but meant to be warm today.
I thought about what words to describe your dress code Hunnie. For me its creative. Im boring lol.. Cant wait till its warm enough to wear my new dresses tho.
Glad the haircut etc went well KM. And hopefully a new line for the hairdresser. They are much needed which is why I cant understand why the one at the home here either quit or was told she wasn't needed any more.
Will pop over to Pukekohe and get a few groceries today. I got most of the dear stuff last week. I will pop into new world and get a jar of spreadable cheese. Ill take that and some crackers to me with hospital, so I can avoid the iron rich foods that mess with my INR and prevent me from coming home early.
I was reading the info sent to my GP last night. Even the team here call my skin Dogs Ears, Like Terry Dubro does on Botched lol. Was standing in front of the mirror and stretching it out flat. Its going to be the biggest change I think. I should lose a fair bit of the old horrible scar on the right.. Yay.
Have a fab day all

Good afternoon already.
22deg ... summer is around the corner!
A bit more school/activity/minding duties here with the changed parental circumstances ... today is one of them.
Love the display OHH ... butterflies are such cheerful creatures
Will get outside soon for a touch of gardening, sunscreen first! An order of hellebores seedlings all potted, ready for planting out when bigger and now awaiting (miniature) dahlia tubers for pots. Frangipani trees have just started their display ... and scent.
A requested pink (lacy) cardi on the needles currently for evening tv time.
Lunchtime ... enjoy the day all.

Oh Hunnie I love that wall. Could easily stand and look at that for a long time.
Shopping done and dusted. Town wasn't too busy. But wasn't in the mood for wandering around shops.
Now my knee is done, and I lose a few more kilos that somehow found me again, I will first walk around our streets of shops and I plan on doing the main street of Pukekohe. I know very few shops in the main street of Pukekohe lol.
I text Di to wish her luck today and told her about the Dr using Dog Ears for my tummy bits, she replies with they will go and come back as Hush Puppies lol... She is a crack up , she gets it from her Mum. lol

White...with purple streaks.
Gorgeous butterflies Hunni, & KM excellent news re the hairdresser.
Out early over to Northlands to Lush, shopping for two DIL's birthdays next month, so a bit more done.
Took Madame le Dog for walk then did a bit more in garden, warm now but looks ready to rain at the drop of a hat.

morning ladies We have a bleak start to the day so far.
On a brighter note, the Orange Clown missed out on the Nobel Peace Prize MrK and I have been following María Corina Machado on the news for a while now and have been hoping she would win. She is amazing. She should have been the new Venezuelan president but was 'disqualified' to stand so they had to put Maduro in her place. It has just made my morning reading she won.

So, no doubt the Orange Clown will take his pi**ed off attitude out on everyone else.
A friend of MrK's is planning to visit him this morning; I'll pop up to see him a bit later than usual. I try not to be there when he has visitors. There are a few more people he has asked me to tell, and I'll do that next week.
I should be out in the garden, the weeds are growing quickly with all this rain. Yesterday I planted the two lilies into pots, they should look great as they are the shorter versions. I start that before I head into town.
Have a good one!

I remember enjoying the train ride from Middle Brighton each morning to Flinders St, it was wonderful except during strikes, lol. And the electric storms, never heard thunder like that before or since. And then there were those huge lime green cicadas, oh yes, Melbourne was an interesting experience.

Morning everyone
We slept in, which is rare for me. Grey here. Not cold.
Glad the orange one didn't get the Peace prize.. His Me Me attitude annoys the heck out of me. Ill give him credit for helping with the cease fire but nothing else. There will be hell to pay if he doesn't get it next time tho. And a lot can happen in a year. maybe he could have is posthumously. lol
Im Evil lol.
Glad you are having fun Mica. Im not good with buses here but used them well when I was in Perth.
Thankfully when I go over in 5 years the Family will be my drivers .. Maybe not the nephew cos he is a truck driver like my brother was and if he has half the attitude my brother had I wouldn't go with him. But the girls hopefully will be fine.
Don't have plans for today, other than breaking the glue gun out of one of those vacuum strong plastic packaging things and fixing the candle holder. I saw a post on FB that showed how to get into easily but cant remember how they did it lol.
I do know what Im having for Dinner. I got a huge pork chop yesterday, which I will use as a roast. some of the roasts were just like double thickness of a chop anyway lol..
You Ok KM? Remember to look after you too.. Its tiring going to a home every day. Hopefully you will get a little bit of gardening done cos I know thats your happy place.
Have a good day everyone

I put the tulle underskirt on yesterday, black short dress over, with black patterned tights and my red ankle boots and pranced around all day like a short round fairy and loved every minute. Some days I dress up, but today I think it's jeans and a tee shirt. A heck of a lot less effort required.
But it was fun.

Domestic duty called. Vacuumed the house. It is much easier without carpet for sure.
Its quite warm here today. Still grey and bleak.
But to brighten my day I took the recycles out to the bin and the Iris is fully open.
I apologized, but cut it off and brought it inside. Ill upload the photo later. I have it standing on the mantle piece in the kitchen so that that Furry Madam cannot read it. And its standing in front of Mums clock that Dianne gave me.
David just rang. Seems Annie and Colleen are missing each other. The home is the home, nothing changes. Colleen is not terribly happy but she needs to take time.
Right now Ill finish my lunch since it was a long call.

Read a story today.
About Prince William getting upset when he spoke to a woman whose husband committed suicide after their youngest boy died. It was terribly sad. but made me mad...
How long have they been calling suicide, Self - Murder..? .. I think its disgusting.. And I hope the remaining children dont hear it.
Absolutely disgusted.

I prefer 'getting out of jail free' myself. It is as bad as this new social media self censoring term 'unalive' instead of dead. As if the algo's won't soon cotton onto that bit of silliness.
