Weird coincidence? Or not?

I have an interior design obsession, I love looking at the way people live in their homes. So last week I picked up a big coffee table book at the library, about houses in Maine. Very pretty pictures, lol. Great 2am fantasy material...

Then today, on Instagram there's a post by someone I do not follow about that book. That exact book. The internet knows what I am reading???

Please tell me it's coincidence. Because that is just spooky...

I'd say spooky.   I've had countless weird "coincidences" whereby one action is closely followed by another on a different platform and device, including getting FB promo for something my husband and I were discussing in what we thought was the privacy of our own home.   And no, we don't use Alexa, Siri or any other app which needs a microphone on.

I just read a story about Venetian glass makers...and on Youtube I am being shown Venetian glass makers...um, yeah, I'm suspicious. A library book, are they finding what I'm reading ?

libraries are all online now - would not surprise me if somewhere in the deep dark recesses of their digital platforms license agreement that you agreed to information sharing - to provide a better service to you of course, and completely anonymously of course...
