And really - "I might have 'gotten' confused???!"  Is an American doing the comments or just someone bad enough at grammar to realise that 'got' would suffice.....

I emailed him and told him the add ons were silly. I got a reply. I think he was a bit miffed, but honestly, he should just stop...

12 for me. I don't like "gotten" either, but it is actually an old English usage, not specifically American or Canadian. I dislike it almost as much as "anyhoo".
