You can never have enough...
morning ladies Smile Well so much for rain.  Rain?  What rain?

OHH, I am sorry to hear of your friend's husband.  She must be devastated.  And yep, working off the sad is a good thing.

I am sooo glad that little JR made it home, Jan.  I've been silently cheering him on!  And what a lovely Christmas gift to have him home.  I wish the Ukraine family all the best.

Next time MrP says he wants a divorce, popeye, I'd say I'll bring the papers with me next time I visit.  Call his bluff.  And I also like OHH's suggestion.  Say, good, I can find a toy boy now.  It could be time to turn the tables on him.

MrK is over the moon he'll have his cataracts done on Monday.  I must admit, I am too as he'll be able to drive again.

I must get back to working on the quail.  While sick, I couldn't settle on any one thing so now it's time to get to work.

happy crafting Smile

I had the best  night's sleep last night for weeks. Light off at 9.30pm and slept through without moving till 4.30am and I am convinced it was having the Treacle Pudding cat on the other pillow. A few more nights like that would be very welcome!

She is a good housemate, happy enough to be ignored, pleased to be made a fuss of, and quite a responsive conversationalist with little chirps and mews. But she is a picky eater. I have yet to find something she really enjoys, which considering her shape is a bit puzzling. She is quite interested in anything on my plate, so maybe she has been fed people food... Aint happening in this house, Pud!

Good morning.

Fine outside  after no rain but still hopeful for some ... according to the forecast there will be!

I hope all goes well for the Ukrainian family Jan.  Good news indeed re the wee JR, such tough little dogs!

Mr K will be looking forward to getting back behind the wheel KM, perfect early Christmas present for sure.

Glad Pud is settling in OHH, good girl for not disturbing your sleep  Smile  She will no doubt realise her food only comes from one source!

I agree with KM, call Mr P's bluff by agreeing to a divorce!

We had an interesting evening when two matching dogs, 1 medium, 1 small turned up on our back lawn, tearing  around sniffing and at one stage chasing a neighbouring cat over the fence! We decided to catch them and after a call to the Council, a nice man came out and after scanning them was to return them to their address several streets away! A good outcome, even if we spent a couple of hours dealing with them out in the cold wind which included walking them up and down our street, with the hope of someone out looking for them!

Will have another go at getting into town this morning. Didn't get there yesterday with another appointment to attend to ... the decorations still to get up!

Enjoy the day all.

Morning everyone

Ohh what a pretty wee girl Maggie is. The best Christmas Present for sure.

I have to admit I love driving and always hated the way MrP drove, hence why he never had a chance to renew his license lol.

Yep a sleeping cat with you is the best sleeping tablet out.. I read a thing on FB last night about what it means when Cats do certain sounds and movements etc. treacle Pudd sounds very happy. they "Chirp" when they are happy and content.

When he mentions a Divorce again I'll ask Does he want help with that? That will floor him. I found out he hasn't been having his insulin either.. He hated the fact that I didn't leave straight away and I sat with the ladies last night... And I'll be there on Friday sharing the love. But I won't go to his or Bobbies room cos of covid being in the room opposite.

I got a ;little frustrated with Bobbie She keeps saying he needs to come home for a while. And doesn't believe he will be a problem. And keeps making excuses for him. but She just doesn't understand.

Ill email the property manager shortly and see about getting his name taken off the rental agreement. And find out how to do a trespass notice.. Did it once years ago for MPs sons. but that was before Computers lol.

Ive cooked the fruit for the cakes... Have to go do my bloods and get a few groceries than I can quickly mix the cakes and have the rest of the day off.

Have a fab day everyone..... it smells soo good here already lol

Fine day.

Great Xmas present for MrK (and you KM  as be will be able to drive again  Cool

Glad wee dog made it home I bet he is getting g some pampering, hope the Ukrainians have a good life in Aussie.

Nothing like  a good night's sleep OHH, Pud will get used to the cuisine at your place soon enough.

Like the idea of calling MrP bluff Popeye.

Made 2 lots jam yesterday apricot and blackberry. Found the blackberries on a deep dive in the freezer looking for dried fruit for Xmas cake.
Managed to make 2 tshirts and a pair knit shorts for older DGD yesterday, next project is for me I need some new tops.

Volunteer day today so my day will be full
It's fun to have fun but you have to know how  Big Grin

I noticed the blackberries in flower on my last scoot down Lake Road the other day. Always reminds me of childhood days with being dispatched with Dad loaded with billy cans and picnic lunches when Mum wanted a weekend day off. Except we always came home with vast quantities of berries, masses of scratches and sunburn to boot, so her rest was well paid for!

But her blackberry and apple preserves were to die for. My Dad's suggestions we check plates for cooked up caterpillars never put us off..

Yes that’s her Kiwimade - she is 15 not 12 and that’s an old photo - she spent last night on a drip - but her tail hasn’t stopped wagging - when we first came back from Oz my husband would come back from the dog park telling me Ash had a great time playing with Paris Hilton - I imagined she was a little designer dog - but he gave her that nickname because she loved to be carried and if the grass was wet she whinged and moaned .Someone in the media has contacted Chris asking her to hold onto all the footage she has from security cameras and even a dash cam - we have had terrible weather it’s unbelievable really - she was bred on a puppy farm must be inbred resilience
My Grandaughters in Sydney have taken the Ukrainians under their wing but unfortunately the job he has been offered is in Melbourne
Must be a cruise ship in - our normally quiet street is like a motorway - buses and classic cars full of tourists wanting an Art Deco experience
I have just found out Earnest Adams doesn’t exist any more - loved their Xmas slice

Cakes in the oven and my feet will be up for the rest of the day.

Nah threatening MrP with a younger man wouldn't work. He knows Im like my grandmother and one was enough. lol..

It will hurt him for me to be up there tomorrow and to not actually go to his room. If he wants to see me he will have to come to the dining room. Cos Im not going anywhere near the covid patient. Im worried about her as her breathing was already a mess. I'll be surprised if she pulls through.

I haven't called. And won't be ... he is a slow learner lol

God it smells good here lol... Ill be wrapping choccies after Ive done my games.

I made one deep cake and one not so deep.. I love fruit cake with cheese... oops I only have grated cheese in, Ill have to get some tomorrow...

Such a shame about your friends husband Hunni, especially at this time of year.
I wouldn't worry about Treacle pud's diet yet - she'll educate you in due course no doubt.

Good luck with MrP Popeye.

I'll probably regret it tomorrow but have mowed both back & front lawns, mainly because it looked likely to rain. But no, not so far. And no doubt Murphy's law will kick in & not a drop will fall.
Didn't sleep well last night due to the howling gale outside which has continued all day so far; quite pleased the cherry tree gets pruned next week with luck.

What a Day.

The home rang, MrP took himself down to the desk and demanded they ring the police for him to be brought home... SOO

I spent the afternoon playing phone tag with the Home, the property manager and the police.

I cannot tress pass him as his name is on the rental agreement even tho he doesn't live here.... I can't get his name Off the rental agreement without him signing a paper..

I managed to talk him down.. He has agreed to take all his meds but not the antibiotics which he thinks is giving him the runs.

So for now he is staying.. ( forever in my book)

He wants me to take the clippers up tomorrow and take off his beard.. He asked me to tell them he doesn't want to be Santa now... The Manager didn't even know he had been asked.. oops... Tells you how much she doesn't know is happening there.. She had to ring me herself, so She has actually done some work today.

He has discovered I took the knives, but I won't be taking them back.

I have wrapped the choccies and will get the baking from the freezer out before I fall into bed.

His SIster in law rang and I ended up talking to his Big brother, who both understand.. And My friend from Taranaki rang too.

Im tired lol..

But as if the Gods are watching, there is a program set in Scotland on tonight and they are going to watch it together tonight so I have to ring and make sure he has the right channel.

Still have to stop and get him some drink on my way tomorrow...

Thank god I never go up on the weekend I need a break.. And the lawn needs doing But the daisys are out and they are sooo pretty lol.

Our beloved tabby has been very sick, and when he finally recovered enough to have his feeding tube taken out we tried all sorts of foods in a kind of cat buffet; he had lost a lot of weight and had always been an erratic eater even before he got sick.   The most successful food initially was Applaws, which comes in tiny, rather expensive tins.   Once he started eating that he seemed to get the hang of eating again, and after a week or so he was eating Jimbo's and biscuits as well.   Then we gradually stopped giving the Applaws.  Try your new baby on a range of foods all at once and see what she chooses.   BY the sounds if it she won't suffer if she skips a few meals.

Wet, and no, I am not going to warm it, lol.  She has enough stored on board to do without for a few days, so I'm not worried. It may also be a touch of leftover stress, she has a touch of the runny poos to go with. The vet says not to worry, and recommends a hideously expensive bland vet food diet.

We'll wait and watch...  Wink

The one good thing about animals is they won't starve themselves.

Missy is fussy, but only to the point that she doesn't like fish that much, but tolerates the Puree Kisses as her before breakie treat.
Her main food is always chicken flavored..

Yeah Madam Pud will take a while to get used to things.. Even a change in water could cause the runny pooh's

MrP was much happier when i rang to make sure he had the right tv channel.. And he had taken his pills..

dammm popeye. Pity you couldn't slip the lease agreement to MrP telling him it's divorce papers lol Tongue Tongue He really likes being the center of attention, doesn't he. Good on you for standing your ground, and especially, for taking the knives.

That bland pet food is sooo expensive, OHH! It was cheaper for me to steam a small piece of chicken and mix it with cooked rice (same as what's in those tins) and feed the Furry One that when he had an upset tummy. And those tins really smell lol. Poor puss, she'll settle soon.

We were in Rotorua yesterday helping my sister-in-law with her garden. She has a week to go before she moves. We drove round to see her new home and I think we will have to repeat the whole gardening exercise there as the owners haven't touched the gardens since she signed the agreement. I came home with more plants and will need to find homes for them today. Some 'original' single petal geraniums and three different South Pacific Iris'. Two Christmas presents were left behind to be given to family members as we won't see the recipients Christmas Day. She also gave us bits and pieces on their family history, mainly to do with WW11. We have some stuff, and it has been decided unbeknown to us, that it should all be together with us. It's quite the responsibility being The Keeper of Family History. I will scan it all, so we have a digital record as well as the original.

Know what you mean KM about being responsible for family history especially as we get a bit older.  I have 4 large bins of memorabilia collected from a brother a couple of years ago sitting in my little “messy” room. I have sorted it a bit it really needs a proper sorting out as to what is really worth keeping which I don’t feel I have the expertise for. We do have a couple of historians in the family but one is overseas and the other just too busy at this stage to take it on so I guess it will just sit there a bit longer and I’ll just hope it stays ok. There is far too much to scan or store any other way.

Good morning.

Wet outside and windy with it.

Lol, it's only food taken out of the fridge that's warmed for my boy (fair enough in my book) but I know slightly warmed wet food helps to "attract" reluctant cats to it.

Good garden score KM. Your garden must be a treasure trove especially with your gifted plants Smile

As it's looking like an inside day can start some Christmas baking and get the decorations that have got as far as the table up! It certainly felt and looked Christmasy out yesterday with the music going and people rushing about laden with shopping bags!

What a good person you are Popeye, glad you are in the driving seat and can stand your ground when needed!

Over the hill for visiting tomorrow. My mum is declining and decisions for the FIL to be made. Very old, old age can be an awful time, kept going with pills as my dear old mum says Sad

Enjoy the day all.
