although to be fair the brownshirts of old were enforcers for a tyrannical dictator whereas the rainbow community are simply defending their recognised human rights from some pommy antagonist with emotional insecurities.

They still acted like them.  They were still a violent mob who chose violence over discussion.  Even Hipkins said that violence is never the way to get your point across.
