So, then are we agreed that Marama was correct in her somewhat emotional statement  and that she should be neither forced into a false apology nor fired?

I do wonder though which bit of it caused the most fuss, the cis bit, the white bit, or the males bit? Maybe she should've added over the age of ten, and perhaps even wearing suits...

Nope she should apologise.  It was a stupid thing to say regardless of her reasoning after the fact.  But she does have a bit of a history regarding stupid comments- taking back the word "cnut" anyone?

I believe she did...  or are you looking for a personal apology yourself, having been so offended?
