PP isn't timid in addressing her opinions and made no attempt to call out the neo-Nazi demonstrators at her Melbourne event so was complicit in their actions in her failure to condemn them or at least distance herself from them at that time.
And that's the crucial point - had she immediately made it very clear that the boys in the little black shorts had absolutely zero connection to her, or asked them to leave then it wouldn't be looking as though she approves of them & their vile views.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
