reading up on that poll, I note at the bottom of the article that it said it was taken from 1000 odd sample size - I was taught in statistics it needs to be 2000+ to be representative of a population to a reasonable level of accuracy, but maybe things have changed since then...
But I also noted that 500 were from an "online panel" whatever that is, and 500 from mobile phone users... I don't know the stats on this but I would hazard a guess you're immediately missing 10-20% of the population in your poll if you're only sampling online and mobile users - that would seem like an immediate bias towards the tech savvy.
