I have virtually no Biblical beliefs but these "end times" are looking like fairly convincing ones, lol; inevitable actually considering the combination of mismanagement and population increase on an all too finite planet Earth.

The traditional bungling of political parties in general cannot go on forever without penalty.

Is managing the resources of a small country like New Zealand for the good of the majority of the population too much to ask for?

Well - going by all the evidence so far, it seems that it is. Not one of our politicians appears capable of thinking about much other than their political survival, let alone  putting some thought into looking at long term possibilities for this country & our planet.
