Now I hear all this BS on the news that it's called global "boiling" wtf?
They are taking us for fools. They also are telling us we are feeling it here with a warmer July than normal. Even more garbage coming out of their mouths. This winter is much colder than previous winters.
Looks like the skifields are getting a good amount too.
You might consider that the wildfires were deliberately lit but do you have any reliable source for your 'considerations'?

The global "boiling" reference by the UN head is in reference to land and sea temperatures being experienced in the Nothern Hemisphere. Long standing maximum temperature records falling day after day is far from BS. Last year saw over 60,000 people dying in Europe from heat related causes and it's a fair bet that the current season's death tally will well eclipse that total.

So far as seasonal temperatures are concerned we didn't need to start feeding out silage to our cattle until early as the pasture growth was sufficient to feed them prior to that, which is a real turnaround from the usual April pasture slow down. For those in the north of the North Island it may seem that this winter has been a harsh one but that dispondance has more to do with cloud cover and frequent rainy days by all accounts. Incidentally down here in the Naki our June and July rainfall totals are well below those for the last 5 years or more so Auckland's wet winter isn't indicative of the NZ norm, just overreported by the media.
