lowering speed limits hasnt saved any lives, the people who drive drunk or speed will do it anyway, same as the failed gun "buyback" its targeted the wrong people

Speed kills. Lowering speed limits is an obvious safety measure. Proving a negative has always been a challenge, but the road toll doesn't lie. Those deaths were and continue to be a huge waste, a huge cost to the country, and a massive blow to hundreds of families. Even if the policy saved one life it was worth it, just as raising them will cost a fortune.

And everyone will pay it.
