Axing sexuality, relationship education guidelines a huge mistake
#16
And independent unbiased guidance from trained educators, who can answer questions put in a safe non judgemental environment. The home is not that kind of environment, the intimate family relationships mean it cannot be unbiased, and parents are very rarely trained educators.

Most of us think we are, but the reality is we bring our own inhibitions, fears, attitudes and conditioning to that space and we can't help but leak it all over our children.

If we want our children to grow up free from our conditioned responses - the ones built on our parents example, and our not always positive experiences we need to give them the freedom to be separate from the family environment, and learn from actual educators.
