Mac upgrade
#4
Thanks Wainuitech and Olive, I had ticked to receive email notifications of any responses but for some reason that didn't happen.

I still haven't done anything, but am pretty sure I'll go with a laptop when I do upgrade, most likely a MacBook Air as that's what my old laptop is and until it could no longer be updated it was fine for what I needed it for.

With some of the software I currently have like Photoshop, it was purchased outright, it's not a subscription, which is why I want to keep my old iMac so I can use it now and then when I need to - although PS is starting to not play ball even now! With InCopy or other Adobe things I may need to use for work, they were subscription-based and paid for by my client - I'm just worried that I'll need a new laptop to even use those because I haven't been on their subscription since 2020 so my system may not be up to speed so to speak regarding its use.

Wainuitech - that's what I thought, upgrading to an SSD would only make my computer faster, it won't solve the outdated OS, so no real advantage.

Once I get my A into G and buy something, I'll report back!
