'Letting'? Do you have any idea of the geography of that region? The local politics? The desperation of the migrants? Many of whom are leaving because their own nations economies have been devastated by the policies of the US, and by the increasing demand of US citizens for their drugs and other resources...
People do not risk their lives, endure threat and hardship, and leave their families and countries unless they are desperate to make better lives for their families. It has nothing to do with being far left, and a hell of a lot more to do with being human in a world devoted to greed and consumerism.
It isn't political parties behind the border issues. It is criminal gangs, industrial level exploitation, and the huge gap between the wealth of one nation and the poverty of its neighbours. A wall isn't going to stop that problem. It is a bandaid on a cancerous tumour.
