Just had a Play 
( windows) On Brave - It worked fine. On Edge, at 1st errored, but on reconnecting the VPN, / Reloading, sat through the ads, then played OK. (The Chase)
Brave is v1.68.137 (Aug 7, 2024) 127.0.6533.100
One thing NEVER changes -- Damn Adverts LOL
I am not sure what version Brave is on Linux, OR ( wild guess) Maybe the VPN you are using is causing a problem on some browsers --
