Letter to the government from economists

His vision is truncated into seeing the economy from the inside out rather than the outside in.

Not realizing that Austerity measures are the last thing required, this is a tactic employed by small businesses to get themselves on target in a tight economy and will not work for the economy in general.

In summation, we've got the wrong man for the job, and old school hard liner who wants to go back to the last century.

As Matthew Hooton's opinion piece in today's Herald so accurately states, Luxon is out of his depth and inept as PM. (RemovePaywall.com if required).

It was widely feared prior to the formation of the coalition that Luxon's shallow political skills would be overwhelmed by two co-leaders who had far more political experience and agendas beyond what was initially clear, and this has proved to be the case. FIGJAM Luxon (as he was known during his Air NZ position) is being led by the nose by both Seymour and Peters who know all too well that their jumping ship on the coalition will be politically fatal for National, and increasingly so as the Treaty and other issues deepen.
