Yes, as long as all of those who lived there or still do are given plemty of support. There's a group made up of ex Gloriavale people now, so that's likely to comei n handy if the whole place shuts. 

It must be extremely difficult to have grown up in such a  place & then to leave it for the wider world.

Yes the leavers trust has largely been the main driving force for supporting those that leave.
I can't possibly imagine how you even start to rehabilitate these former members, they don't even know about basic things we take for granted, such as bank accounts, birth certificates, etc.

It has to be very difficult for them & the outside world must be a bit of a shock. There are cults similar to theirs all over the world.

We're a very strange species.
