Just tried it. Installed 22H2 on a non compatible hardware PC. Straight away it was saying you need to update the OS to teh newer version BUT did'nt show the option to download /upgrade.
Made another USB drive with Rufus - bypass setup, with 24H2, attached the drive ran setup, unticked the check for updates, and it installed fine.
A while back when doing a upgrade Via windows update from the previous version it did show and also failed with not compatible etc.
Suggest you 1st make a complete image with something like Macrium Reflect, download the 24H2 ISO, use Rufus to change and try as I did above.
IF you simply download the ISO from Microsoft and try to use that its a 99% chance it WILL fail as Rufus bypasses the requirements inbuilt in the ISO.
