Half truths, lacking accurate data and pandering to Westerners who are averse to change and ignorant of what modern technology has to offer. The situation portrayed in the later part of the video is easily countered. Africa leapfrogged landline phone communication and took to mobile phone technology in a big way. The same applies to electricity generation from solar and the cheap running costs, and lower maintenance offered
Very good documentary, it's good to be informed on both sides of the argument.

Earlier in the video the evidence of sea temperature increases was mentioned but trivialised and glossed over. Our oceans are a massive heat and CO2 sink which is moderating the warming of our climate to a great extent. The recent alarm that has been raised over the weakening of the AMOC recirculation current system and of the bleaching and degradation of coral reef systems including the Great Barrier are results of the soaring CO2 levels occurring in our atmosphere. For more info on the way our oceans work and their effect on our planet check out Blue Machine by Helen Czerski.
We are presently witnessing the cheapest electricity generation ever seen and increasingly so. This will completely change our lives and our impact on the planet. The fossil fuel companies are increasingly becoming aware of these changes and are doing their best to resist them, in a large part by denial of the damage that their products' combustion is doing to our atmosphere. These are hugely wealthy companies so can exert great pressure on society to maintain the status quo. Don't be sucked in by their climate change denial retoric.
