A new neutrino detector in China aims to spot mysterious ghost particles

There seems to be quite a bit of research in this field in recent years, Japan has been building a large detector under an extinct volcano.
I remember the first detector that discovered neutrinos that was built deep inside a mine far underground, was quite a big deal at the time.
