and that would be because there is a growing trend of absolute nutjobs having a platform, and influencing those with less ability to discern nutjobs, in their nutjob ways.

It is not a universities role to provide a platform for nutjobs and their nutjob ways...

Considering most of these speaker events then require the university to provide extra security, which takes money, I can see the reasoning behind a bit of judicious discrimination when it comes to who gets to use university facilities for dubious purposes.
