A new neutrino detector in China aims to spot mysterious ghost particles
#3
I remember that, and that is why I added this post, didn't know there were different types besides anti-neutrinos, and thought the understanding was more advanced than it seems to be.

I thought that the way the material Universe matter had come about was well understood as a branch off case that disguised, until recently, how it had formed as a special case not previously known, and the mystery was now understood.

Surprised they are saying that neutrinos and their reality would reveal more about how the matter in the Universe was created.

Maybe things have moved on. I know that the fact, so it seems, that the Universe is expanding at an increasing rate had caused a rethink about how much we actually know.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
