morning ladies 
We had heavy rain overnight but I'm still going out into the garden this morning.
Happy New Year to you too, Jan What about beetroot relish? Mum had an awesome recipe, and it never lasted long in our home. MrK's niece and her fiancé eloped over Christmas 
We are so happy for them both.
I'm so with you about the mental health benefits of handcrafts, OHH. I also have no regrets for the time spent on them. I still have a piece I worked on as MrK had his first aortic valve replacement and each bit reminds me of all the tests he had to go through beforehand. It kept me sane. Now it's keeping me sane with this enforced rest business.
Yesterday we visited MrK's sister and her husband to see their new home. It's gorgeous with room for a brand new garden. What I would give to plan a new garden from scratch lol. We came home with a bit of family silver, a gorgeous wee cream jug, some dessert spoons and a Christening set. They all need a polish, something I can do while resting. And a couple of retro woolen single blankets which may be too small for the beds we have. If they are, I'll figure out something to do with them.
Time to move and get weeding. The ground will be lovely and soft after the rain.
