morning ladies
It's supposed to rain today, fingers crossed it does.
Lovely that you have everything set up the way you want it, popeye
MrK dug one spud plant yesterday and we have enough spuds to eat for ourselves and share with two neighbours. The new spud patch is worth its weight in gold.
I spent some of my 'down' time polishing the silver my sister-in-law gave us the other day. Turns out the spoons are egg spoons for eating boiled eggs. I think they would be perfect for ice cream and MrK reckons for spooning out feijoas. Doesn't matter, we're using them. I also checked out the markings on the wee cream jug and it looks like it was stamped anywhere between 1777 and 1778. Only a couple of very small dents hardly visible to the eye after 350 years. When I'm in town next I'll pop into the jewelers and ask about having it resilvered and/or how to polish it properly. MrK wants it with the other family silver but it's going into the cupboard to be used. I would think it originally was part of a tea/coffee set. Would love to have the rest of it.
Yesterday I ran out of oommph very quickly so weeding came to a standstill. I'll have another go this morning.
Still tacking the embroidery design, slowly but surely getting there.
Happy crafting
