Because our health system may be unable to cope. 
In their infinite wisdom - or possibly in an effort to keep their donors happy, who knows - elective surgeries may be at risk.
And our maternity sytem is overloaded, but nonetheless, yep, these delightful politicans (or something) are going to cut them.
Which just makes so very much sense doesn't it...oh,hang on. No,not according to this which says there will almost certainly be deaths as a result. Whatever can our delightful politicians be thnking of...?!
Might they be emulating those heartless butchers in the UK,who disemboweled their NHS..?

Perhaps idiot politicians doing this kind of thing should be prevebted from using any other health system except our own public health system - what's left of it - until they fix the damn thing....?
