I think people probably need some kind of psychopathology to even be an MP. It is one of the things about democracy that weakens it. We need a way to select people who don't want to be in that job, but who would be very good at it. Instead we elect volunteers with agendas.

And look who we get.

Many times I've heard comments to people with the right qualities to be a great PM but invariably the response is along the lines of 'not on your life'. It does make you realise how much we lucked out having Jacinda in the top spot for as long as we did.
