Don't want to be putting any trade agreements with the US at risk do we Christopher? Totally out of touch with NZ's populace and the international political landscape beyond what he ignorantly sees as opportunities to increase trade.
There are very few manufacturing jobs left in NZ - many of them that are left are in rural or small town NZ where there are very few opportunities - these jobs are reliant on the US export market staying strong - so let’s hope NZ doesn’t attract Trump’s attention - the lunatic is so vindictive and he sure as hell won’t change his support of Putin because of Luxons opinion so let’s not risk kiwi jobs - public servants in big cities have options sawmill workers in rural HB don’t

No. I cannot agree with hiding from a bully. I was raised by a soldier who in his turn was raised by another, both active warriors who put their lives on the line to stop bullies, who killed to stop bullies. I cannot bow my head and hope I am not noticed so our economy doesn't suffer. For me that is rank cowardice and the thought of it just repulses me.

This is the kind of thinking that got the United States exactly where they are. That kind of thinking will keep them there. That is putting money ahead of people's lives.
