@ Agent, Not going to Quote many things and write a Novel. But at the end of the day, the average Windows user, if wanting to use Linux, doesn't have a clue, and the overwhelming options are simply too much.
Sharing -- MANY businesses use it and expect it to work and be reliable, just because you don't use it that means nothing.
There are many Windows-based programs, and there is simply no similar option to using a program designed for Linux. And even if there were 99% of the time the data can't be imported, so try telling some business that has millions of files, folders, setup and worked fine for years, all their data can't be used and need to start again because linux doesn't support a program-- I think you know what the answer would be
By now, you should have guessed I'm talking more along the lines of Businesses, not simple home user-based.
