Health NZ to cut waiting lists with private healthcare

I had an eye lasered via the public health system some 5 years ago - this was publicly funded in a private hospital, by the same Doctor I saw at public initially, who had also offered to do it for me privately, a couple of weeks faster...

I agree , this will do nothing to increase the number of actual operations without more doctors and surgeons...
