justice often takes time heisenberg, i'd put money on the police knowing exactly who did the crime, but simply waiting for someone in the family to turn.  Vows of silence is nothing new and not specific to any particular ethnic group.

the kahui twins were murdered in 2006, how much time ...........they can keep their vow of silence in prison

looks to me like its the mothers family saying the father did it, fathers family saying the mother did it...
